Best case scenario is the deal falls through and we get to continue the bombing campaign. Maybe the regime will cave in with enough of an economic downturn.

Would take months at the very least.

I am currently talking to two sources I really respect. They are both telling me that Trump is backing away from the deal with Iran, likely under extreme internal pressure (i.e. Israel and its domestic allies in the US). This is a terrifying turn of events.

This is great news. How is the a terrifying turn of events???

I’d gladly take months of pressure for the IRGC to fold. It’s that or another 50 years of dealing with them.

They won't give up due to the economy. The only way the economy is a factor is by them not being able to pay their soldiers. People will only work without pay for so long.

Can the world stomach the adverse effects of those months though?

Food prices in Iran are soaring due to severe compounding inflation, currency devaluation, and widespread economic strain. The annual rate of food inflation has roughly doubled, with the price of staples such as rice, meat, and dairy rising by 20% to over 100% in recent months.

It doesn't scare you that our President is letting a foreign country dictate his foreign policy? MIGA, I guess.

Forget the world. We have enough people here in the US that will scream about gas prices.

Maybe he got dogwalked into this conflict but Iran has demonstrated some things where anything short of the downfall of this regime is basically a loss for the United States global hegemony.

Hope so. And I'm not carrying any water for Israel, I just don't like seeing the US humiliated.

Why begin and end with the Hebrew State? Quite a few dogs in the park .... Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar ---- quite a few non-Jewish States that chose another spot in the park....

They are awesome.

Now I need to go grill burgers that I promised my family that I would make for dinner tonight.
