At this point the only thing that will save everyone from this supposed deal is if Ahmad Vahidi is too stupid to see that he has a win in front of him and refuses the MOU and decides to keep defying the world.

People can be patient and let it play out
Or
People can panic
Thems the choices

Nobody’s panicking. S&P is up 5% this month. We hope this keeps keeping on.

The deal being floated with Iran seems straight out of the Wendy Sherman-Robert Malley-Ben Rhodes playbook: Pay the IRGC to build a WMD program and terrorize the world.
Not remotely America First. It’s straightforward: Open the damned strait. Deny Iran access to money. Take out enough Iranian capability so it cannot threaten our allies in the region.
Overdue. Let’s go.

Fair enough. Some people are losing their minds.

Sounds like we struck a deal with one person in Iran. Then the IRGC will break the deal they never agree to and a second war will start and the 60 day clock is rest to zero and a technically different war will begin.

If true, frick Trump. So much for winning with strength. This is cowardice and weakness.

If this is the current outline of the deal, it's pure BS. Give them more time to arm up and they won't do shite about the nuclear issue. If this is the deal, I'm pissed.

White House needs a new false flag to drum up support tactic.

A part of me wants to believe that this entire deal is a panic over the Arab states not wanting to extend any hostilities.
I cannot, for the life of me, understand why we would punt on uranium, and breath life into the IRGC.
Cannot comprehend the reasoning, other than the arabs.

So the deal is that they will spend 60 days trying to negotiate a deal.
While Iran waffles and delays and it gets nowhere.

Even if Vahidi does sign onto the deal, he won't be able to resist rubbing our face in the sand by acting like the Big Swinging D in the Gulf and trying to humiliate us at every turn with the conditions in the Strait. Trump won't be able to accept that humiliation, and fighting will resume at some point. Perhaps after the midterms Trump will be thinking more about his place in history than the political impact of high gas prices and he will show some of the resolve he's been lacking lately.

Resolve? He is negotiating like a coward. Foot to throat.

Yeah, I said Trump's been lacking resolve lately. But maybe he will be better after the midterms. One can hope anyway. These issues aren't going away- Iran wants to be the major strategic power in the Gulf, and Israel isn't going to take that lying down, I suspect.

They did rise up. They got slaughtered by the thousands from December until we began the war because they have no weapons to fight back with. Then we told them to stay put until they got a signal.
That immigrant Shah sure did run his mouth a lot about rising up. I hope we deport him back to Iran.

So 60 more days of the last 6 weeks on repeat? That's a no-go. Then what? We start bombing again in the summer? Nope. After the midterms? Maybe, but Iran will have ramped up a lot by then.
