Of course, if we give up on toppling the Regime, this won't be required. We can deal with the Regime later down the road.
This entire exercise has been about no longer kicking the can down the road.
It’s over for the Regime. Make no mistake, this ends with a free Iran.
DJT would not spend this much political capital without that outcome.

We have seen this movie before in this part of the world. Only Iran is a much larger and more complex country. It's religion, it's politics and history.
I think it is important to note that there are still many people in Iran who are alive that remember what Iran was like before the Ayatollah.
They had freedom and essentially a western-like society before.
Iran is not Iraq.
I think you grossly overestimate the percentage of the populace that supports the IRGC and strict radical Muslim laws.

(Reuters) - Iran-linked hackers have publicly claimed the breach of FBI Director Kash Patel's personal inbox, publishing photographs of the director and his purported resume to the internet.
On their website, the hacker group Handala Hack Team said Patel "will now find his name among the list of successfully hacked victims."
Reuters was not able to immediately authenticate the emails published by Hanadala, but a sample of the material uploaded by the hackers and reviewed by Reuters appears to show a mix of personal and work correspondence dating between 2010 and 2019.
A Justice Department official confirmed to Reuters that Patel's emails were compromised but did not go into detail. The FBI did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The hackers did not immediately respond to messages.

We are not at the doorstep of peace in the middle east. That's a guarantee I can give you.
From what we have learned, since the start of this war, it is obvious we were at the doorstep of a nuclear armed fanatical terrorist regime able to fire nuclear tipped missiles at us.
We had to act, and I doubt the outcome will be worse than inaction in the long run.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Under Secretary of War Emil Michael
@USWREMichael
11h
There are dozens of factual errors in the 42 page judgment rushed out in 48 hours DURING A TIME OF CONFLICT that seeks to upend the @POTUS role as Commander in Chief and disrupt @SecWar full ability to conduct military operations with the partners it chooses. A disgrace.

I can’t stress how devastating that reality is to the interests of the embattled Iranian regime that we operate with impunity overhead.
And that’s applicable here b/c even if this was true that the regime could amass their ranks outside (they can’t), it doesn’t take a military strategist to understand that putting hordes of soldiers out in the open would be a ln absolute bloodbath.

Why even say this shite? That lets them know they can just ride it out a little longer and then re build. Makes no sense. Unless it’s just to throw them off.

So am I correct in thinking that using A-10 and Apaches to escort shipping in the SOH?
Wouldn't those be the best to defend against the bass boats the IIRG use to cause trouble there?
Also, don't the Saudi's have some air power to use? At some time, they will come for their pound of flesh. The UAE will just freeze all the bank accounts and cripple the economy of Iran.

My guess is setting expectations for the markets, which don’t want a protracted conflict.
