What? How has this war made that obvious?

I ask, because it’s clear many of you have gotten to the point where you support an all out invasion of Iran, toppling the regime and replacing it, no matter what the cost.

Everyone knew they had nuclear material.
The question was how much of an imminent threat they were.

It seems to me y’all are using the fact that they fought back after we assassinated their leadership as proof that they would have made nuclear weapons and used them against the United States.

Now everyone is begging the question, saying “of course we have to take them out, and if you don’t like another middle eastern war over WMDs, then you must have TDS”.

It’s as if Iraq and Afghanistan never happened.

Let’s see - they have spent 47 years attacking everyone directly or through proxies. Their stated goal was death to Israel and USA and they pretty much only wanted to deatabiiize things. . The nuclear weapon - once achieved would have allowed them to act with much more impunity and close the strait or what have you with much less fear of reprisals.

But let’s just pretend they were about to become a peace love and harmony commune instead of exactly what they have been since coming into existence.

Reagan should have done this in 1980. When they took our hostages was a turning point in the middle east.

Things may have been a lot different today if we had wiped the islamic regime off the map then. They were MUCH weaker then... no nuclear stuff, their military was far weaker than what they have today.

I think the main reason we attacked them was that they refused to stop enrichment and working towards a nuclear weapon (maybe weeks away, maybe years away) but when they had one the would have used it on Israel. Israel would have retaliated and probably also struck all the other muslim countries. If Israel was going to be wiped off the map they were going to take all them with them.

Iran was also quickly building a massive stockpile of intermediate and ballistic missiles. And hundreds of drones. They were manufacturing them quickly and if we had waited months or years it would have been far more difficult to remove them from power.
