The Fars news agency reports that the strikes hit Khuzestan Steel near Ahvaz and Mobarakeh Steel in Isfahan.
The strikes on the factories, which are partially owned by the IRGC, are expected to cause major damage to the Iranian economy.
The strikes had been ordered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz. Earlier, Katz said that Israel would intensify its strikes against Iran.

This regime is still playing both sides against the middle. If they throw in, the US and Israel are the victors in their estimation. If they remain sidelined, they do not believe the US and Israel to be the victors from their vantage point.

I think it is important to note that there are still many people in Iran who are alive that remember what Iran was like before the Ayatollah.
They had freedom and essentially a western-like society before.
Iran is not Iraq.
I think you grossly overestimate the percentage of the populace that supports the IRGC and strict radical Muslim laws.
