I think you’re mixing two separate articles that I posted.

You've been here for a while. Do you know how to tell where a response is directed? I asked you what the AP article means, what are the implications. Is this just playing dumb now? A drive-by hit piece that you'd rather not try to defend? If so, that's fine.

I think that’s pretty evident from the article. Iran is choosing who gets through the Strait. They are still generating oil revenue.

Exactly what "combat" has ukraine participated in Iran? Flying missions? Clearing the straight?

So what are the implications? Do you think that the US Navy has no ability to stop those tankers? Do you think Trump is unaware? I think this is exactly what was planned from the start. What do you think?

Maybe you missed out on the interceptor drones they shipped to us and how their advisors are helping us with them.

How in the world did one of them survive that blast? At the 7-second mark, you can see one of the Iranian soldiers walk towards the tree by the right side of the building.

Amazing how one of the most lopsided wars in history is happening right now and all we hear from the left is how Trump doesn't know what he is doing, they had no plan, we are bogged down in a quagmire. It is laughable.

Oh that's real smart.

Cut off Ukraine funding.

Putin is helping Iran.

It sucks but threatening Ukraine and threatening to withdraw from NATO are the only things that Europe will respond to.

Don’t bother arguing with Decatur, that’s akin to arguing with a door knob.

I’m at work but my friend just texted me and told me it’s kicking off in Iran and the people are taking to the streets and that Mossad has been calling all Besig commanders telling them they know where they are and their families and will be killed if they intervene in the uprising. Is this true I don’t have time atm to try and weed out what is and isn’t true on X. Thanks

Im pretty certain there are threats that can be made that are less dramatic. Like cutting the funding significantly etc.

The USA has already cut off funding to Ukraine. The only support the USA provides Ukraine with now is intelligence and weapons which are paid for by Europe not the American tax dollar.

NATO only works if NATO actually does the work.
Protecting Saudi oil coming out of the strait benefits the global economy. It benefits Europe.
And it isn't an attack against Iran.

I am angered at the NATO response.
There is a line somewhere down the road where the US does say, "frick this security alliance".
If it isn't working, there is a point where it will have to attempt to survive without the US.

We can find new bases elsewhere and strengthen ties with other more security driven governments.

It is absolutely preposterous IMO to be mad at NATO countries for not joining this war if they weren’t consulted beforehand.

But here is an interesting theory I haven’t heard before about a way this whole thing might be 5D chess after all:

This may be what’s happening. It feels like Trump is moving towards strengthening ties in the Middle East, while stepping away from Europe. In terms of business investment and growing economies it might the right play.

We'll make buddies with the existing Muslim countries while the future Muslim countries in Europe complete their transition. Not sure I like that idea, though the existing structure of being allied with the socialist, one-world government types isn't exactly working out well either.
