Did you not read my post. They could, they will. Right now they are being told to hold off so as not to hinder ongoing operations.
If they started picking up weapons and using them. They would likely get misidentified as IRGC an be killed by the USA air strikes that are targeting the IRGC.

Don’t all NATO members have to agree on Article 5? I don’t see that happening if the US started the war regardless if Turkey takes a few strays.

Seems to be the case. There's no indication that the US, head of NATO or Turkey has yet moved to invoke Article 5.
