Interestingly enough, I listened to a podcast earlier this morning about the history of Qatar and Al Jazeera. Al Jazeera has a bias toward Iran as a check against the Saudis who have tried to bully Qatar for decades.
Qatar has used its wealth to rival Saudi Arabia's influence in the Mooselimb world Libya post Qaddafi was a Saudi vs Qatar proxy war before descending into a couple hundred Bloods and Crips sort of battleground. Qatar allied with Iran. After Shell built Pearl GTL complex in Qatar, they lost all contracts and JV's in Saudi Arabia, where it had operated for decades.
FTR, a client had $20 billion sitting in an account from the Bank of Qatar, for purchase of oilfields and to build a refinery in Libya post Qaddafi. It never settled down enough to access the money sitting in the Paris branch.

Of course they are. It’s just a question as to scale and quality. And with shipping closed it would be either what can come in from a plane from china ir what Russia can free up come their own war.
By no means would it come close to making up what they have already lost or shot/fired.
Why does it have to be China or Russia? Why not Pakistan or Afghanistan? They both share borders with Iran (and each other).
This is why we should have destroyed the roads and train tracks coming into Iran. At least the bridges should have been taken out.

Isn't that true of all Muslims?
Yes. If they actually follow their faith. That is why it is illegal to allow Muslims to immigrate to the USA. It is a shame that we do not follow the law.

They will also accept us as slaves.

Russia can't even supply their own troops. That is why they are losing ground to Ukraine. China may be supplying components and maybe a small amout of arms but do you think they want to face sanctions and tariffs from the U.S.? The people who claim Iran is stongers todays are idiots.

Why is it not possible to think Russia and China are resupplying them weapons covertly? if you think this isnt happening your really naive.
Show me the proof?

Maybe not finished weapons but because their drones and missiles use Chinese and Russian technology its not that crazy to think that parts for production are currently being sent covertly. Also Iran doesn't fully produce its own air defense systems relying on the S-300, S-400, and the TOR-M1.

Do we still have “trust the plan” bros in this thread? The average intellect in this thread is far higher than the other threads.

Another angle to Trump's hesitancy to escalate militarily could be that the rumors around Chinese technology being used to down the F-15 are accurate and there are obviously deeper implications around that.

WSJ with a pretty bleak assessment of Iran’s control. Yesterday they easily got Trump to stop Israel’s attack on Hezbollah terrorists.
WSJ knows nothing...Trump is seeking $10 billion in damages for defamation from that fake news rag.

What we have is a bunch of people who say they know the plan, most of whom are ready to say it's a failure because their stated version of the plan has failed. Many of them never intended to say anything else because they want it to be a failure. There are plenty of people in the US who will openly admit to that, but also many who won't admit it because the propaganda works better when they claim to be objective.
I don't know the plan, but I think I know some of the goals and they aren't completed yet. But Iran's ability to act as China's bully, in the Middle East and as far afield as South America, has been degraded for a few years. I assume that right now strategies are being adapted as assessments, political, economic and military, are being done to determine how to proceed from here.
China is flexing their muscle inside US borders too, using very effective propaganda and lots of money, so we'll see if America has enough brains and backbone left to mount serious resistance to the CCP's global aspirations. I'd love to say I'm confident, but a quick assessment of the 535 members of Congress won't allow that.

I'm just hoping the post-midterms Trump shows resolve towards Iran. I've given up on him doing so before then.

At this point, I'm thinking that we're not going to bomb Iran anymore. Iran successfully called his bluff. Trump seems desperate to find another way out, trying to convince Americans that peace talks are ongoing when it's obvious that the IRGC isn't interested. It'll be interesting to see how he spins it.

No one calls Trumps bluff...why bomb them if he can rid iran of all the terrorists and put things in order for the iranian/persian people?
