On a first name basis with the groomer I assume.

Cute dog.

Prayers for you. It's tough to lose a family member, especially the furry ones who have been by your side for so long.

We spent many a morning with you Baws and Bawettes having coffee and talking Politics, and I know many of you are fellow dog lovers. So I could use a PoliHug. I’ve already had a total meltdown on facebook.

Hugs from Bass Tiger.

Putting a pet down to end their suffering is something I've come to dread. When I was younger it bothered me when a pet passed but the grief was short lived, as I've grown older the passing of a pet tends to linger a little longer.

I drove 5.5 hours today to Kingsport, TN with my wife to pick up a 9 week old 1.3 lb Toy Poodle. My wife is driving us home as I type this with the little guy in my lap. Have about 2.5 hours left.

We had to put our 16.5 year old Toy Poodle down on Nov. 4th. His name was Cricket. My wife and kids (ages 25 , 22, 18, and 14) went with us to be with him that day as we put him to rest. I knew the day was coming and it was good to be very hard. It is a very emotional moment… before, during, and after.

Wednesday, your Annabelle was as blessed to have you as you were to have her. She will send you another.

Funny he is scared of garbage trucks. My border collie does ballistic running at them. She can hear it a block away and I can’t pull her into the house. That and gas blowers.
My condolences to you for your loss. We have no kids but always have 3 dogs. Have put down 3 in the last 5 years. One was just bad bad epilepsy and the neurologist gave him too many different pills. He was at 20 a day. But bottom line it was the worst case of seizure he had dealt with. But still hurt because that border collie was the only dog that has preferred me to over my wife from day one

Tough stuff Wednesday. I’m sorry to read that. She sounded like a great pet. Dogs can be awesome…almost like family.
My condolences.

Our Gracie was a long haired black Chihuahua, that loved to bark. About ten pounds, she terrified the retirees at my HOA meetings. Would never bite but she could intimidate. At a campground 40 miles south west of Moab Utah, , we got ready to leave for a days excursion and she bounded across the motor home couch collapsed and died in front of us.
bundled her up and buried her a couple miles away on a canyon over look, 30 feet from the edge in Canyon lands federal park. The location is GPS'd and the wife and I have told the kids that is where we want our ashes spread.

I’m very sorry for your loss. I’m sure she was the goodest good girl and was very happy to get to spend 15 years with you.

Sorry for your loss. I cried for days when my old dog Gus died. I still miss him.

I’m so sorry. Our dogs are an integral part of our family and the grief when they leave us can be almost unbearable. Take comfort in knowing that you gave her a wonderful life.

Oh for fricks sakes, THERES A FREAKIN OFF TOPIC BOARD FOR A REASON.

Losing a dog sucks but I will never feel the need to go on an online message board and request sympathy over my pet dying. This is what’s wrong with our country and why China will kick our asses. Imagine a population who can’t understand how to lose a pet.

RIP Annabelle. A good dog is amazing and not many people ever have one. You are lucky.

This sucks to read. Since you posted it, I’ll say that my 4yr old cane corso got hit by a car and killed two days before Christmas this year. My 4yr old little girl still hasn’t noticed yet

The part that infuriated me was we live way out in the country and nobody came up and knocked on the door. I have no idea how long he suffered, whether a vet could have saved him, anything

Anyway. It really ruined Christmas for me and my wife
