I have no idea the details of this. Could it have been a 642 set-aside? I would be interested to dig into the details. I'm guessing WaPo isn't real up on the intricacies of the code and it's treatment of private foundations.

Just so I'm clear, you agree it would be literally impossible for a random person to call a charity to get a donor list (because again, the gov't has to sue/get sued to get these) and then repeat it as some sort of meaningful fact because...????

I’m sorry but aside from your own personal dislike of the man or his policies, how on earth has th country gotten worse since his election? By almost every objective measure we are better off economically, the percentage of people saying we are on right track is highest it has been in years, etc
Actual flesh and blood people, your countrymen, are seeing their lives improve. Whether or not that is because of trump is up for debate

Cohen has flipped.
What does he know that can hurt the Trumps?
They have been looking at the foundation for awhile, but now they suddenly have enough proof. This is Cohen giving info to hurt the Trump family for not getting a WH job and to help save own his family.

They tried to dissolve the Trump Foundation in 2016 but the NY AG wouldn't allow it to be dissolved. Strange how all of this comes out just a couple of months before the November election.
