Also...who completely funded the charity?

Yeah, who was donating money to the Trump Foundation?

NyAG bring charges

Fake news. No charges. Civil lawsuit.

CNBC link

quote:

New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood on Thursday sued President Donald Trump, three of his adult children and their charitable foundation, claiming "a pattern of persistent illegal conduct" for more than a decade.

Underwood claims that the Donald J. Trump Foundation engaged in "extensive unlawful political coordination with the Trump presidential campaign."

quote:

Underwood is seeking restitution of $2.8 million, plus penalties. She also is asking to dissolve the foundation.

what are your thoughts on the Clinton Foundation and the Clintons? Do we all know they are scum?

Anyone who has a charitable foundation and uses funds for personal use is scum so if what they say is true about the Clinton Foundation then they shouldn't get a pass.

Was it investigated by the AG? Seriously, I really don't know the details of it, I will go read up on it later.

But in reality, Underwood wrote, the three Trump children exercised no such oversight. The board had not actually met since 1999.
Regardless of the legal issues, why not just shut it down if it's not going to do anything. I mean I don't expect anyone to give anything, and it's only a bonus if they do, but if why have a foundation and present it as operational, if you're not going to have it operate?

Oh Doc....this one is really in my wheelhouse. Trust me when I tell you not to attach yourself to this. Your first hint the author has no clue is they called it Trump's "personal charity". That isn't how a private foundation works at all. Additionally, the attorney general isn't involved because there is ANY criminal act being alleged. The AG is involved on behalf of the state's charities. The allegations are very weak. And they come out the same day as the IG report. Doc...bud....trust me on this. You don't want to hitch to this wagon. It is a loser.

If I recall correctly, the foundation reported giving to something like 500 different entities, and the journalist contacted every single one and found only one that has received anything.

You realize the gov't usually has to sue to get that kind of information right? You think someone makes a call and doesn't get it and it's an admission of guilt?

It's more like one person FCKD up.

Really, I am not. I will not defend someone or a party no matter what. I actually think all sides should be held accountable, etc, etc.

And I realize Trump is not good for this country. You can call me an idiot for putting the country first, but that's just me..

Like the OP gives a rip about accuracy or the fact that he is just blatantly out and out lying with his title.

another example of how much of a fraud he is. But I can't wait to see all the people on this board who will still take up for him. That is the entertaining part.

The amusing part is you apparently take allegations in a petition as fact. Can we apply that standard across the board? Yes or no.

Second...you have less than an elementary understanding of the New York trust code and the tax code. You do realize NONE of the allegations are criminal, right. Yes or no.

Obviously since the article only prompted the investigation. I was just summarizing the article that led to the investigation.
