What exactly do people think charitable foundations do?
Well the Koch's give billions to medical research, Universities, High school trade programs, museums, public television and radio, and the arts, poverty programs, etc.

Obviously that's not the only way to donate, but one would think that unless the foundation is running programs, which many do, then they would distribute to places that do.

Is there anyone in the country with the amount of money as Trump who HASN'T set one of these up? I bet it's probably less than 5% of such people, no?

Donor advised funds are all the rage nowadays. Private foundations are still quite popular, though. The IRS promotes both of those for a reason. It's ignorant morons with TDS who think simply having one makes you shady.

God damn a mod needs to massively change the subject line

It is a lawsuit, not a fricking criminal referral

The title is blatant clickbait

Allegations in a petition are treated as fact? Can we apply this across the board? Yes or no?

You need to wheel your arse back to the OT where people just kind of give a sad smile and shake their heads at your nonsense.

You’re WAY out of your league over here.

the amount of incorrect subjects put out by the right is quite high. I am sure the mods always tackle incorrect subjects when the right does it.

NARRATOR: There were referrals.

quote:

In addition to filing its dissolution petition, the Office of the Attorney General sent referral letters to the Federal Election Commission and the Internal Revenue Service. These letters set forth in specific detail the underlying facts that have led the Attorney General to conclude that additional investigation and potential further legal action by these federal authorities are warranted.

It’s a small piece of something he knows that can help the government.

Know that it has worked out Cohen can try to make a better deal.

Might be bullshite, but it comes out the day after he fired his legal team. I might be stretching, but I don’t think it is a coincidence.

Dude......this has quite literally nothing as of now to do with him

You think this NYAG “lawsuit” was literally created in last 24 hours???

They have been “investigating” for years

Also, it is a civil lawsuit not a criminal case.

glad we drained the swamp by hiring a president who has a ray donavan, has been sued for fraud, and was committing felonies through his non profit.

Keep blindly circle jerking to one corrupt mother fricker, magas.

They tried to dissolve the Trump Foundation in 2016 but the NY AG wouldn't allow it to be dissolved. Strange how all of this comes out just a couple of months before the November election.
After it came under scrutiny though. So whether they did anything illegal or not, trying to shut it down once it was discovered that it might not be functioning like it was supposed to, doesn't excuse anything improper that may have happened prior.

I'm not going to assume because a lawsuit was filed that the accusations are valid. But there is also enough information available that I can't assume they're invalid either.

In the line I quoted, the NY AG seems to be saying that's what the Trump Foundation does.
