Well if his early track record holds, like for the lower cost public transport, the cost of tickets just went up.

That's the great thing about capitalism. Tickets ARE available to all.

Yeah...and?

Mamdani says he will make tickets are "available for all". In case you haven't followed Mamdani in relation to all of his other promises, that really means he wants to make it free to all. "Available" = "Free" to a socialist.

I don't read all the posts here but I have never seen anyone on here saying tickets should be free to any college football games

Aren't they available to all now...so long as you have the money to purchase them?

And is this really the affordability issue that is pressing to the people of NYC?

What exactly is he going to do? He does not even have jurisdiction to where the games are going to be played in New Jersey

Well that was a well crafted counterpoint. I concede.

It was pressing enough for Congress to pass a bill dealing with it and for Donald to sign an Executive Order instructing multiple Federal agencies and the DoJ to deal with it.

Get a TV or radio.

That's what I did in times when I couldn't afford to go to a game.

Let me get this straight. You want me to provide a well-crafted counterpoint to a scenario that you’ve made up in your head without any substantive evidence?

He doesn't have that power.

So it falls right in line with about 80% of his promises..

Anyone familiar with FIFA knows they will kill Mamdani before that happens.

If everyone was in a seat, yes. If we are jamming as many people as we can compress into the stadium, then no.

If I’ve learned anything in my years on Earth, it’s that you don’t want anything that’s free. I avoid any free event like it’s the plague.
