The thing is, this guy doesn’t hold himself out there as the smartest guy on the planet like most reporters and members of the media. I’m not super familiar with him, but from all the clips I’ve seen lately, he is basically just saying hey look at this it doesn’t look right. So your attempt to cut him down doesn’t make much a difference to me.

Benevolent is a matter of opinion. By asking what is benevolent, he wants the interviewer's opinion of what is benevolent. I think Elon is extremely benevolent, but others think he is evil.
