I was against McCarthy back when Trump was pushing him. Pulling this stunt with no clue who they will put in the seat is just bad politics that ends up being a negative on the GOP.

When Newt was Speaker, he impeached Bill Clinton over Monica Lewinsky, instead of the horrifying raid at Waco, bombing a medicine factory in Sudan, bombing Iraq, and punishing US companies who supplied medicine and food to Iraqi children.
Edit: I would say the Elian Gonzalez raid, but I think that was after it was discovered that Newt cheated on his dying wife and resigned in disgrace.
