I am amazed nobody else caught the most important piece. According to the government official in the Newsweek piece, the warrant was obtained based upon false information. How isn’t that a huge deal?
It is interesting, but I suspect that probably cause affidavits based upon confidential informants are wrong as often as they are correct. Facts change and things move, as the issue winds its way through the legal system.

Being a criminal law guy, you probably know more about the percentages than I.

They got 15 boxes a few months ago which contained some degree of classified documents, now they've been informed there is more there so they probably went there to search through everything.

They got 15 boxes.....then sent those 15 boxes back......then left again with 15 boxes. These are almost certainly the same documents they've already seen and are aware of.

Al-Jaserra last night had a small article on the third page, that said they had a confidential source that said the planted informant was a Russian asset sent by Putin to frick up the fbi and Biden with false info that the fbi acts upon and gets embarrassed.

this is all about Putin messing with Biden in return for the Ukraine mess.

DB said that the receipt on Monday referenced 13 (not 15) boxes. Is that not correct?

Furthermore, if the informant was credible then why did the judge permit the FBI to search all of the house?

Precisely. This Newsweek article isn’t good for the FBI of people understand what they are reading.

Then why did they spend 8 hours digging through everything Trump had, including an empty safe?

You try to act like you’re so neutral, but literally everything you say is slanted to the left

I didn't see that, but I haven't been keeping a close eye on the new information coming out. I know the initial reports were that it was 15 boxes. I also know that the 15 boxes that the FBI was previously interested in were returned to Mar-a-lago.

As was previously brought up, if the informant said the docs would be in the safe, why did the judge allow them to search the entire house? I understand your desire to be the contrarian, but even you have to think this smells.

Haven’t been a criminal guy since I got my LLM. But even years and years removed, this whole thing is pretty insane. Raiding a former presidents home based upon faulty information with a liberally applied warrant.

Except when they show up, those docs are not in the safe. Was the warrant specific to the records room, Trumps office and wherever the safe is?

If after they go in and the docs are not where they said they would be were they allowed by the warrant to ransacked the house?

MK was right for once. They werent looking for documents they already knew about and have already seen - and are probably declassified anyway. They needed an excuse to rifle through his personal shite so they could pin literally anything on him to stop him from running again.

If Trump is elected in 2024, most of these people are completely fricked.
