Hilarious that they're essentially telling folks, "well, we planned for this and didn't anticipate anyone standing up to us. Sorry."

Y’all have to look at this from the leftist point of view.
Government is their literal God. Their God has been seized and is now being operated in a manner completely opposite to their religious dogma. This is an existential threat to the leftist mind.

It now seems clear to us that the military will not rescue Americans from Mr. Trump’s misuse of the nation’s military capabilities.

You’re thinking of The Washington Post

2. Trump and Hegseth purged, and continue to purge, all of the America hating individuals who think like you.
This is exactly why they purged transexuals from the ranks. Guaranteed this is exactly why the treasonous bastards let them in in the first place. Because they knew damn well their brainwashing had already worked on those people and if they continued to paint Trump as a homicidal maniac who was committing genocide against trans people that those people would mutiny.

Personally, I think they made it even worse for themselves.

Dems always thinking this blows my mind. Do they not realize that the military is like 80-90% conservative leaning? At least the actual combat boots on the ground military is. It's once you get to the pentagon it gets more 50/50.

That is textbook sedition.

Was that trash signed by Milley or Kelly?

Unfortunately, though we (and others) had hoped that the military would only respond to calls to action in American cities and states kicking and screaming, we no longer expect resistance from that institution.
Openly hoping for a coup.
Wow.

Same media that wanted the military to enforce the bullshite face diaper and social.distancing mandates?
Posted on 8/14/25 at 2:58 pm to CarolinaGamecock99
"We thought the military would disobey lawful orders because Orange Man Bad"
So deranged.
So deranged.

Wow, the NYT wants a military coup in America simply because the current President is an outsider who did not come frome within the ranks of the corrupt Political Establishment.
And people wonder why I refer to them as the "Corrupt, bought-and-paid-for corporate media."

This is just another piece pandering to their echo chamber. I miss the days when the mainstream media didn't print garbage.

It may be left to the Supreme Court to enforce constitutional discipline on the U.S. armed forces.

so the New York Times doesn't think the US military should answer to its literal Commander in Chief?
