Agreed. I’m there several times a year for work, never see any of that except yes, there are homeless people around. Never had an issue with any of them
Love visiting, couldn’t live there though. It can be overwhelming

Go to the upper west side and walk around. There are parts of NYC that have relatively low crime and are amazing.
