The black thing on his shirt is a magnet that holds a bluetooth mic. He just has the mic inside of his shirt because they're awkwardly bulky and distracting.

I'd bet everything that if I hit you in the neck with a sledge hammer, your shirt would jerk. You have no idea how much impact force a large caliber bullet delivers.

The first clip I saw looked like he got hit in the chest.
I haven’t watched it back but then saw stills of the blood in his neck and just figured he was shot in the neck.
