The Democrat Party is run by Marxists. They’re not even trying to hide it any longer. The US cannot become a Marxist country as long as the Senate exists. Thus, it’s only natural the Democrat Party wants to do away with it.
Same for the Electoral College. As long as it exists, the US will never become a Marxist country. This is why the Democrat Party wants to do away with it.

I think the DSA will split the Democratic party. At some point the mainstream Democrats will have to say enough. Even the DSA moniker denotes a planned split. Not sure how 2 weak parties match up against the Republicans.

This is the results of allowing non citizens and the ability to participate in the US government process. They do not care to understand how the government work and why it is designed as it is. They just want to change everything because the system is designed to be a slow reaction form of government to prevent constant changes to laws and policies based on the current day whims of who has power.
