Considering that vaccinated folks are infecting people, I'd say it's all a damn wash at this point.

My other half had both shots of the vaccine. Caught it 3 months later. I never had the shot, caught Covid the 2nd week of October. After 9 days I finally went to doctor. Tested positive for Covid with pneumonia, stayed in hospital 5 days 4 night. Treated with 5 doses of Remdesivir. Sent home and pretty much back to normal. My other half thinks they might have Covid again. Keep your shot!

So it would be a good idea for you baws and bawettes who got diagnosed with covid-19 (and actually have the lab documentation to prove it) > 3 months ago and have not gotten a vaccine to go to your doctor and get you titers checked.

I don't give a frick about vaccines or natural immunity. Why?

1. Because it is only rarely deadly.
2. Because we have medicines that kick the China flus arse if you are smart enough to take them..

So no need to take a vaccine that might kill me for a virus that I already had.

This may be true. Have some friends who got the chyna virus 2020. Just got it again this week. Their symptoms were dramatically less this time. Kinda how the covidians say the jabs lessens symptoms but they did it all by their bodies self. They get a gold star for their chart.

Further proves mandates are overreach. Let people decide how they want to love or risk it.

Get rid of your visceral fat and your liver fat. Lower blood pressure and blood sugar. Raise HDL, lower triglycerides and raise blood levels of vitamin D to at least 50 ng/ml. Get vaccinated and wear n95 masks when indoors among crowds. Do all these things and COVID is someone else's problem.

Don't try to get infected to gain immunity. The COVID dead are all immune but so what?

so many BS words to say they are guessing and assuming all this based on the narrative they are trying to justify

this "covid immunity does not last forever" is correct only in that after people die of old age then they are no longer carrying immunity to covid, BECAUSE THEY ARE DEAD

When they need to not know something about Covid, all we hear is “it’s a novel virus.” When they need to know something they don’t really know, they infer.

My question is: why would anyone reconstruct the Spanish flu virus? Scientific curiosity is sometimes dangerously arrogant.

Dr. Malone said there is increasing risk with each booster.

And there are rffective treatment protocols available if you do get sick.

Well shite why don't you just ask add win the powerball to the list. If everyone did that then the only time people would be in the hospital or doctor's would be because of injuries from accidents or complications of cancer. If everyone did that there would be no need for health insurance except for catastrophe and maternity coverage either. However, your statement is not likely to happen on a population basis so we do have to worry about it.

Actually the only place the vaccinated or unvaccinated really need to wear an N95 is on mass transportation. Almost everywhere else has enough ventilation to disperse the droplets enough to prevent mass spreading unless people are engaging in physical contact (i.e. hugging, kissing on the cheek, kissing, etc).

Also as someone who has to wear an N95 almost every day at work. Hell f**king no am I wearing an N95 inside everywhere. Have you worn a real medical grade N95 and I am not talking about the KN95s that you can by on Amazon? They are uncomfortable as hell.

Doesn't vax immunity last only 6 months?

At some point when almost the entire population is exposed covid will become just like the other coronavirus strains circulating. Research oc43 the russian flu and that’s probably where covid is headed. It killed quite a score when it emerged (and was likely incorrectly labeled a flu) but now is just a common cold after circulating through the population the first 2 years that it spread as a pandemic. Interestingly enough oc43 killed the old and weak mainly, just like covid has done and is not high risk to the young, a stark difference from influenza strains. The difference may be the stupid lockdowns which have only delayed covid circulation this time around although it looks like maybe next year covid will reach a similar place.

I’m no immunologist, but i wonder if the masks and social distancing and sanitizer actually keep us from herd immunity. If you get the vax or get COVID and recover, and are exposed over and over again, say every 6 weeks or so, your immunity does not have a chance to wane, correct?

I'm not shitting on herd immunity because it is real thing and very effective. However it does start to wane. So it is not the end all be all that some of the posters here think.
When we talk about "immunity" from COVID, we need to be sure not to conflate immunity to infection with some degree of protection against hospitalization and death. The vaccines clearly help with the latter but are virtually useless for the former. I got the Pfizer vaccine in April and caught COVID in September, 5 months later. That timeline makes it clear that it's impossible to vaccinate our way out of COVID; it's here to stay.

Given that, the only thing that matters is protection against severe, potentially fatal cases. And evidence shows that both natural infection (and recovery) and vaccination both provide long-term protection against severe illness.

At this point, I've had a COVID vaccine and the disease itself. There's no legitimate reason to "boost" anything, because preventing infection is a fool's errand, as it would necessitate shots every few months.

Antibodies are not the only piece to immunity. There is also T cell immunity. Once you have a virus and antibodies fade due to not being exposed (exposure is good for the recovered) you may or may not get sick. T cells will recognize the virus, tell the body to make antibodies again and the big mean virus is nothing more than a minor cold.

This is science. I learned this in 5th grade.

Lol. Nearly 2 years into a pandemic and people can't get basic immunology right, while insisting they learned it in the 5th grade. Very cool.
