If you care, ChatGPT says the DSA endorsed 131 candidates and 42 of them won during the 2026 mid-terms, mostly in larger, northern cities, based on Ballotpedia primarily.
The DSA official website claims 224 nationwide candidates and 137 wins. For some reason they are including ballot measures within that 224 number of "candidates".
In total 7 DSA members are expected to serve in the US Congress (both) in 2027.
But that doesn't include socialist "affiliated" (Bernie Sanders) members who are not official DSA members.
Editorial: Not an amount to freak out about, but enough to keep an eye on. No thanks on that number growing or the current ones gaining any significant power.

I didn't go digging for Liz Wheeler's stats on the 63 DSA candidates being elected. I did use Google AI for US congress and at the time Google AI said 6 DSA candidates won their races.
I was told by some people on this forum before the election the DSA shite is being blown out of proportion. Maybe not.
