By that same token, as you stated, the reason the Republican states are poorer is a function of the citizens.

If that were true then migration patterns in the world would be far more significant than they are, nice try though.

I could never explain to you how to be empathetic

Which is strange, as I am what the psychologists call an Empath, someone who has too much empathy, I absorb it from the people in the room, to the point that I have to be very careful not to deplete myself . But don’t let me interrupt your Marxist Fundamentalism that imagines that State control is the same as human empathy, bro.

I would suggest that your comment above is a common problem. It’s not just the moral vanity, or the psychological need you have to imagine yourself to be a superior human being, it’s that fact that you really don’t like your fellow Americans. Like most rigid Leftist Fundamentalists you like the idea of humanity, you just hate all the actual humans.

Your invalid talking points have no place here.

I'm going to show you how your conclusion is very incomplete.

New York, California, and Illinois all have extremely large cities with an incredibly expensive economy to live in. If you're still with me, imagine that with top salaries being much higher, due to the aforementioned cost of living, then being unemployed or minimum wage would show a much larger Gap.

Example:
The average sanitation worker in New York City makes over 80k a year if he/she does it for 5 years.

In Alabama your average sanitation worker caps out at about 42k.

Now I'm imagine someone who makes $0 because they are unemployed and show me where the bigger Gap is.

If you're going to throw out numbers then you should definitely go in-depth and understand what you're throwing out

That's certainly not absolutely feasible. Simply a fact of economics and culture.

This has been the Republican model my entire life. Tax cuts for the wealthy, Private Eyes, pay workers and teachers less, send jobs overseas Etc

You've proven yourself to be a sociopolitical simpleton, which is why few people take you seriously.

Both Dems and Reps love crony capitalism. There's no difference in this regard. Dems who support socialism are too dumb to know what it means

Just as opinion, approach more discussions like your above quote (and the conservatives need too as well) and meaningful dialogue can be had.

Mostly due to Democrat tax and punitive regulatory legislation.

To be honest with you the biggest state control is usually under Republican rule. Patriot Act, war in the Middle East, bigger military, Moore police cracking down, harsher laws, more prison sentences, private prisons that still take tax dollars. Etc.

The reason I point out empathy and the lack thereof is due to the fact that so many people on the right try to make it sound like people on the left are going to take everything from them and launch into big brother. It's usually an excuse to avoid having to feel any sympathy or be empathetic towards the plight of the less fortunate and turn it into some scary leftist Monster. It's all just an excuse to make people on the right feel better about themselves for taking more money and not give back to the whole.

That's a rather large leap you're making and I would say one that is not based in reality. Sure, there are plenty of people who are really just type A personalities that just want to yell at conservatives and boss people around but there are many caring left thinking people.

I would say that based on all of the people I've met in my lifetime I would think that there's probably more leftist people that are actually genuinely caring than there are righties. What ideology do you think Buda, Dalai Lama, Jesus, Mother Teresa etc would adhere to? You don't have to answer but I just wanted to point out how you know you're being dishonest.

it’s that fact that you really don’t like your fellow Americans

It's funny that is intelligent as you are you can't see the level of indoctrination that has infiltrated your psyche. This is been a right-wing talking point my entire life and if you noticed the error you wouldn't hold that point anymore.

The error in that statement is that it assumes right wing people are more American. it shows how much more authoritarianin and sociopathic the right wing ideology hive mind is. You are the true Americans and leftists are always trying to destroy your country. Pretty messed up, bro.

Well that is certainly the talking point but the truth is they left to have someone make their products for 7 cents a day. I will agree that there are a lot of unnecessary Bureaucratic forms and regulations but most of them are in place for a reason.

Every time we have Republican leadership, dating back to Reagan, The socio-economic Divide gets larger and the top 1% gets richer. You trying to say that no one takes me seriously is just you avoiding this fact that you know to be true. If you're going to keep blathering on about politicians who fool their own constituency against voting for their best interests, then look no further than the Republicans. I know Democrats are guilty too but Republicans have completely outpaced Democrats in that regard. Just try being honest

This is garbled nonsense. I don't care that someone else is making more than me. I'm making more than I was, and that's what matters.

I’d be interested in seeing their list of the “richest” states and what metrics they used to come up with the list. I thought Illinois was getting close to insolvency and New Jersey and Connecticut were in bad shape as well.

You have it ALL backwards. And I scoff at the Buddhist/ Leftist bs. I AM a Buddhist practitioner. I attend a Vietnamese temple . I spent three hours there today in fact. And if there is one political ideology that runs through the temple it is Anti-Communism specifically and anti-Statism in general. The Dalai Lama ? Are you kidding me ? You do realize Communism has destroyed his country, right?

I think that I own my time. When The State can take my labor from me, they are essentially taking my time. If they take enough of my time, I am a slave. Statism tends toward enslavement. State ownership of your labor, money and worst of all Time. When you control a person’s time you have effectively controlled their life.

I favor individual LIBERTY and the US Constitution which protects those liberties.I have no time for someone who thinks it’s compassionate to confiscate another person’s time. Liberty and free markets are still the best path for mankind to find meaning and the pursuit of happiness. Sure they are imperfect, sure they suck. They just suck less than everything else.

And the State control you propose killed 100,000,000 in the last century and sent both my family and my wife’s family fleeing two separate continents for their lives. And now every Socialist douche canoe who can make a latte thinks they want to bring the misery here. No thanks bro.

And just so you know, the rich do get richer . But the beauty is the poor get richer TOO. See that’s capitalism. A state college guy like myself can make 30,000 grand one decade and the next make that every month. See, that’s how it works. We have upward mobility. We MOVE dynamically through The socioeconomic strata .It’s a beautiful thing and it is a virtuous thing.

State control kills upward mobility. It assigns status. That’s not compassion.

Wow. Calling working class people and people educating future generations thugs. Why am I not surprised.

Why not focus on making the economy in poor red states better instead of blaming all the problems on people.

The deep south and Appalachia was still poor when they were democrat.

The northeast and west coast were rich when they were more republican.

Politics has little to do with it
