We can thank Obama for this. The gift that keeps on giving.

You want to destroy China just cut off the oil and switch our offshore manufacturing contracts elsewhere, they’d fall within a decade.

One more key dam collapse would also do it.

Need to harden the grid. The Chinese will hit us with EMP weapons.
The US needs to build an inventory of the necessary replacement materials to bring the grid back up without relying on China to manufacture what the US requires.
The grid needs more stand alone capabilities as well.
The money wasted on the Ukrainian war could have hardened the grid by now.
All the fraud, waste, and abuse monies could have been used as well.
Some evil groups want the US crushed.

Lest we forget these criminals wholeheartedly passed the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act, aka the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law while patting themselves on the back and laughing their combined asses off at you all the way to the bank, to the tune of $1.2 trillion in 2021.
A rough estimate too secure the national grid starts at a trillion dollar tab.
I ask did absolutely anything on this list get touched under Obama 3.0?
They promised 500,000+ electric charging ports installed across the country, 5 years later less than 400 were ever installed.

Obama hasn't been president in 10 years man. Donald Trump has been president for 6 of those last 10. Are you telling me that he failed to clean up Obama's mess?

Am I wrong for thinking maybe it would be a good thing for Americans to go without certain comforts for a while?
Yes, a bit wrong. Well, some need to “rough it” for a little bit and build character.
But my wife is due with twins next week so we need as many comforts as possible lol.

Right. We seem to be in a cold war footing with China right now.

Seems like it's an imminent threat.
