If you drive over to Chokoloskee, and are fishing by foot, I would recommend fishing the canals along US 41. They are loaded with snook and juvenile tarpon (up to 35-40 lbs). Will probably be more productive than fishing around Chokoloskee itself, unless you rent a kayak or something.

Most notably, stop and fish in Carnestown/Ochopee along the Tamiami Trail/41. There is a visitation center, I thinks its the "Nathaniel P. Reed Visitor Center", loaded with tarpon. Turn into the main entrance and drive past the visitation center, follow gravel lot/road on the left side of the road and there are places cut in the mangroves to cast from. You can fish from the walking bridge as well that’s to the front left of the building with a little gravel lot to park in.

Also drive a little further west past the visitation center and you'll find some larger ponds (across from the airboat tours) that are all connected to the canals - lots of snook/tarpon there too. Park in their lot or side of the road and walk over. Lots of gators though so beware haha.

If you pass over a bridge where the water is flowing out stop and fish it. Rather large snook hang under them and eat the bait that gets pushed out. Some are too big to catch lol.

Youll see what I'm talking about on Google Maps if you search Ochopee FL.

Early mornings right at daybreak is the best, late evenings are good too. I like a black and purple clouser minnow, black/purple tarpon bunny, basically anything that imitates a small baitfish less than 5inches. Gurglers will be good in Sept as well - those tarpon will crush a gurgler popping on the surface.

Nothing less than 40lb fluorocarbon bite tippet.

Good luck!!

Excuses, excuses. Your program has been garbage for decades. Not our fault.
Take my 3 kids, who are all under the age of 7, to Disney World by myself for a week in the July heat.
Get down low in a bottom, side of a ridge etc. Scratch, soft call, don’t be overly obnoxious because the birds won’t be super vocal themselves.

It was windy all day here and finally called in a nice Tom.

Sad part is he took one more step before I pulled the trigger and I whiffed on him at 20 yards; accidentally killed the Jake behind him hahah. Still having turkey for Easter though.
Fantastic new and congratulations to your boy! Lifetime memory for you both.

I can only imagine how exhilarating that was right before he shot. So awesome!
When was this? 2012 or something?

I don’t even remember the last time losing to you boogs in any sport?

I don’t really care about how their coaching careers ended. I’ve seen 5x more National Championships in my lifetime than you and your great great great grandchildren will ever experience. You and your university’s programs are bottom feeders - own it and move on.

It’s okay buddy, you’ll get over it one day and move on. Don’t stay bitter forever - it isn’t healthy.
Birmingham has money, Huntsville too and is continuing to grow. But let’s not forget our Gulf Coast cities. Fairhope is top notch.

I'm a huge Joe Burrow fan but could he or Daniels come back from 0-21 to Alabama?

Yeah, possibly. Daniels was a threat to take to the house on every single play. Dude was electric.
For your fan base and school - women’s sports matter. Big time. Goex Tigerz!
Gah that’s embarrassing, but then again LSU fans are a bit odd so I’m not surprised lol
Women’s sports are rather important to LSU fans, which is why we tried to inform those who might have missed the game for Mardi Gras
Hahaha what in the world did I just watch?
Absolutely loved listening to his show. The recordings would play through a few local stations here in coastal AL, always entertaining. He is a legend for sure and will be missed!
