1. Make any form of lobbying illegal & track finances of state/federal congresspeople (and their families)

2. You don't pay taxes? You don't vote. Plain and simple.

First I’d make it illegal for lobbyists to pay Congressmen, even for campaigns.
Good, but we need strong penalties with mandatory minimum sentences.

make it illegal to package bills with different subjects. Everything should be voted on individually.
Codify this so it's unchangeable and no loopholes. We'd have more money than we need to cut the debt and balance the budget.

Term limits for Congress, no government employment afterwards. Codify this so it's unchangeable and no loopholes.

Cut all federal agencies to 2% of their current budget and eliminate the supporting taxes - to be phased out completely in 2 years.

Go back to immigration quotas without exception. Deport all current illegals. Codify this so it's unchangeable and no loopholes.

I would put a one object and germaneness rules for congress and senate in the Constitution like they are in Louisiana’s constitution. This would force legislation to be more concise and narrowly focused without multiple completely unrelated bills being voted on in the same bill. I would abolish the income tax.

Term limits at all levels. As part of that, limit each elected position to one term to ensure no campaigning while in office. I think politicians might do better at their job if they were focused on what is best for the nation rather than what will get them re-elected

-Scrap the income tax and go to the FairTax.

-reform election systems to ensure the Constitutional 'one person, one vote' standard of integrity is met.

1 Flat tax

2 Term limits

If I got a 3rd it would be to limit the size of bills to be something like 50 pages. No more 4000 page bills that they pack all kinds of shite into.

Our nation’s debt-financed monetary system is the wellspring of the continuing crisis.

Unless and until this nation returns to a sound monetary system, all the suggestions above — as laudable as many are — are simply rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

It is what it is.

Term limits

No more 4,000 page bills that nobody reads

Single issues. Vote on it. Pass or fail to pass it. Move on to the next bill. This should not be so hard

I'd be ok if we just made them reduce the deficit by 10% every year

Term limits

All government department heads should be elected positions.

Donations for state elections should be limited to sources within those states.

Funding for federal election campaigns should be limited to donations by tax paying citizens through tax returns and be split equally among the leading candidates.
In other words, big money donors should not be able to buy elections.

Weird how one can have a higher salary than US senators for a majority of their career but never end up anywhere near as wealthy as lifelong members of congress.
