Infinite upvotes to you, sir. Your testimony perfectly describes the following: We have been created for a purpose. You will never be truly and completely fulfilled until you live your life the way it has been designed to be lived.

Next thing you know, you’ll be in this thread telling us how atheist you are and how the rest of us believers are so stupid

Sermon Audio, Founders, and G3 Ministries have good church finder options. They could narrow them down and then you could research specific churches from there.

You will never be perfect but the glory is in the striving. Praying for you.

Great story. We all have different paths and journeys we end up taking. I'm 60 yr old, and I can see life passing so quickly. As a small kid growing up in the 60s and 70s, summers seemed forever. A little later, just a few years ago, i was a kid at LSU going to classes, studying, chasing girls and football games were my focus then. After 37 years in the corporate world, I've seen a lot. The things that people will do when their identity is in "what" they do, "who" they are with respect to titles, position, and status. If that's their "god", watch out. They will do anything to protect it. Through it all, i can say, without God, and I'll specifically say Jesus, in your life, nothing will ever fill the void inside all of us. Life is and can be tough...even more when an invisible enemy is out to destroy your life. His only power is staying hidden and working behind the scenes. Lately, he is being more and more revealed because he knows his end is imminent. Humanity is caught in a cosmic war of love and evil in the unseen realm. The more aware you are of this, the better because looking back, you can see it much clearer. We are witnessing this before our eyes every day in world events. It's like watching water starting to boil, and the water is boiling. Glad you found Jesus. Hold onto Him, not religion, because He is coming soon. Watch and pray.

Good stuff, PG. It’s all about love, just not the rebellious flower version of the 60’s. Albeit we did recognize the points you make re ego-based pursuits in life. And even those can bear fruit as one can turn extraordinary accomplishments of originally narcissistic based power into service to Love. Trump is or may be a perfect example as I think he got way more than he bargained for. All Children of God who excel in the Spirit - theology and religion nws - will draw the attention of predatory Evil. Because the only path for said Evil’s revenge at God is to harm God’s Children. The very act and positive effect of this Thread puts a bullseye on those who participate in effectual service to God/Love. Things are likely to really speed up as the Truth and Lie combat amps up. The critical task for well intentioned people of all religious stripes will be to discern which is which. And IMO, and as silly and simplistic as such may seem, that will be impossible minus taking the Jesus Christ leap of Faith. That very Act changes the whole spiritual /ego dynamic in a fundamental and definitive way and indeed puts one on the road to Heaven. The Easterns have long known this; they just employ their own ‘Gurus’, which IMO, will fall short in the long run. “No man cometh up any other way…”, applies. Like you said we are indeed fighting a deep spiritual battle against “powers and principalities “ against which no individual has a snowball’s chance of winning. Put on the Jesus Christ armor, focus on the ultimate end and get ready to rumble. It’s here. But know that all who purport to serve Love and or Jesus, may be compromised or blinded. Love to the Brethren and all who worship Love. Thank you Jesus.

Awesome testimony brother.

Remember that following Christ is not an easy task but one we're called to do.

Our Lord says the world will hate you because they hated Him first.

Take up your cross daily and follow Him.

Your Father in heaven knows what you need, seek first the kingdom of God and all these things and more shall be given to you.

Just a few passages that get me through the rough days.

The peace of our Lord Jesus rest upon you this day and all the days of you life.

All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

What a world it would be if we all would do just that.

I honestly want to say that i have been very surprised with the feedback i have received on here. From my experience over the years on this forum, it has always been a given that posters will take their jabs as often as possible, and i truly expected to have those same individuals attempt to shred and demean every bit of what i wrote.

Very happy to see so many fellow believers on this forum. It is truly refreshing. Thanks to all for the positive, edifying comments. Much love to you all.

I wanted to share my testimony, because i know there are a lot of people out there struggling right this very moment, and i can finally admit that if you can humble yourself and fully submit to God through His son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, it's a feeling unmatched by anything we will ever feel here on this earth, and will only be better upon our glorification when we're finally with Him in Heaven...

We have been taught and teach our kids to be successful in the system of this world, but it will only bring emptiness.

The enemy is staring people right in the face and they still can't see him.

Brutha... Thank you for this blessing and truths. Thank you for your touching and timely personal testimony of overcoming this world-system, of encouragement, of eternal hope, of fellowship. By the Holy Spirit moving you, many here have indeed been moved. Your testimony shall bear fruit.

My brief testimony:

I was broken, lost, feeling unfulfilled and a hopelessness before reaching out in desperation for the Lord to catch and save me (a so-called "Christian") My problem -- like so many lukewarm "Christians" who will eventually be spit out, I'd wanted to be a "Christian" on my own terms. That's not how following Jesus and "knowing" Him works. I'd been refusing to answer fully to Jesus Christ and surrender to Him completely (a weak, lukewarm Christian -- exactly how Satan prefers it.)

The struggle to resist temptation, sin and evil remains with us -- even as Christians. It is why we are told to pray for strength, courage and wisdom constantly.

We can either live for this fallen world and the Enemy's promise of false glory and system of deception, or we can trust completely and obediently in the assurance of Lord, and His promise of eternal glory in our true Forever Home -- His Kingdom.

"Well done, good and faithful servant.. I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'." (Matthew 25:21)

What will be more glorious than this moment?:

May I suggest all the Catholics in the NOLA- Metairie check out Lakeview Christian Center.

It is a church with thousands of brothers/sisters who have been reborn into the Holy Spirt and have thousands of similar testimonies.

Their church has many Christian out reach programs including their 19year history of presenting the Alpha program which is famous world wide in bringing people into a personal relationship with Our Savior Jesus Christ.

They have a website and have podcasts of their Sunday worship services as well as all their 8 week Alpha programs.

You will thank me for this referral but I give Jesus all the Glory !!!

I was praying incessantly and I would try to read the Bible, but it might as well have been written in Chinese. It was so foreign to me.

I noticed after accepting Christ in my heart, I could read and understand the Bible much better. Before, my experience was the same as yours. And I grew up Church'd. It has left me with an experience which is both great & disconncerting at the same time.

PS - Thank you for the great testimony.
