Mark Hamill isn’t a great actor. You might have deduced that from the scarcity of movie roles outside of Star Wars flicks. I think they limited his screen time to divert attention from this, then just killed him off ASAP to dump the problem.

Edit: Crazy assed Carrie Fisher would have met a similar fate if God didn’t get to her first.

I'm going to get a time machine and I'm going to go back to visit Hitler and express your concerns. I'm going to say "Hitler, you need to understand that in the future people are only going to associate a dominating nazi society as pure white because of you. So if you could try to recruit some minorities that would be great."

Ya, then I'd ask him what he thought about making a movie about a society in a completely different galaxy with hundreds of depicted species...but the bad guys just happen to only be white male humans.

Because that makes sense.

Mark Hamill was the star of the most popular move trilogy of all time. You don't have to be Daniel Day Lewis to be perfect for an action role. Further, your point makes no sense considering that they gave an inordinate amount of screen time to Boyega who is absolute disaster of an actor. Not to mention the female jar jar binks who he made out with

Well I'm sure that he would agree with you that the white people are actually the good guys

I saw on Fox Business yesterday that movie ticket sales are down 22% in the US. Overall things are poised to be a record year but due solely to international ticket sales.

The solution that theaters are planning? Raise ticket prices. Seriously--that is their plan.

The "B" plot was an absolute disaster without even getting into the obvious virtue signaling. Not to mention they completely destroyed Luke's character.

I left around half way through. It didn't feel like Star Wars to me. I thought the opening scene was fantastic, but after that it was meh.

I mean I know this is the age of identify as whatever you want, but I'm pretty sure Ridley identifies as a female.

Now the antagonist is indeed a white male. But he's First Order so he has to be.

except she wasnt the protagonist of the movie

i thought she was supposed to be, but she wasn't. Her character was a sideshow for the most part and she was relegated to Lando duty during the finale. Luke was, for all intents and purposes, the closest thing this movie had to a protagonist.

Post less if you don't want people to think you are an abject hack.

This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read.

My Zootopia review: white men are smarter and braver than all other people, women and minorities are conniving and bad.

bonus points to the brainwashing for making the bad chrome storm trooper a blue eyed white person with a split second screen shot. That was just over the top propaganda that really made me realize there was an agenda at work for this film

yep, especially when it was already established that all storm troopers were clones made in the image of a brown skinned guy most likely of some south american ethnicity from his looks

If you can't enjoy a Star Wars movie because you are overwhelmed by its supposed liberal agenda you are a miserable person

Except that those aren't Stormtroopers. Their first order Troopers which consists of babies taking away from their families and raised to fight for the first order. That's why Finn was one

Actually, the women (outside of Ray) get everyone killed in that movie, and the minorities fail in every part of their missions. The women act with hubris and despite dressing down Poe for his mistakes, make the exact same errors due to their own hubris. The women in this movie are largely incompetent. Even Ray fails in what she sets out to do (turn Kylo-Ren to the light side).

I think you're learning the wrong lessons from the movie.

It's all about hubris, and subverting "star wars" cliches. If someone ignores information or advice because of their hubris, they get f&%ked and people die. If someone takes a traditional "Star Wars" approach to solving a problem, they will get f%$ked and people die.

"This will not go the way you think." That is the core message in this movie. One can debate the merits of this message and whether or not that makes it a bad movie, but let's at least have that debate once we realize what this movie is actually about.

Weirdest part of the movie. This movie just had to click all the boxes on liberal causes.

One of the most Hollywood smug movies of all-time.
