What facts have you presented that nullify the massive net costs to our infrastructure and economy? These are not doctors, lawyers, engineers, coders, or even McDonalds level employees since they don't even speak English. We have our own, existing economically-challenged actual US citizens. We don't need more drain.

Yes, it has gotten slower in 2017, but that is because the economy has been slow as well. So, let's just say it's about 500,000 ILLEGALS crossing the border per year in ten years that's 5 MILLION ILLEGALS, not to mention the children they have that are now "citizens". It's a huge burden on tax payers therefor yes it is still a problem.

You're trying to apply logic to a situation in which many people here are attached emotionally as right wing media has been fueling the false narrative that immigrants are the reason blue collar jobs are trending downward for years now. That keeps these people in fear of the "other" and as such they are easy to control.

The same goes for you, my child. Be strong and fight your true stupid nature. Be strong and resist your own stupidity and resist your own ignorant temptation to ignore problems that exist, and to invent problems where none exist.

This will be difficult for you, my son. But, have faith. You can rise above your own stupidity, if you try.

Still 300,000 people coming in close to 1,000 per day where we have no idea who they are or what they are bringing.

You sound like someone who up to 9/10 said everything was fine and then on 9/12 said "why weren't cockpits more secure".

I want the number as close to 0 as possible and a wall will get us closer to 0 than sticking our heads in the sand.

The way to stop migration is to cut demand.

Saying this problem is solved is like saying the deficit problem is solved when it was reduced from 800 billion to 400 billion

It’s pointless to try and bucket all of the water out of a boat if you haven’t fixed the hole that’s in the side of the boat.

You have to get the wall built before you can successfully get rid of all of the illegals that are already here.

If we had open borders, net number of people crossing the border would reach zero once the advantages of crossing the border are no more than the advantages of staying home.

The economy has been slow for the last 10 years. Illegal immigration has slowed in the last 10 years. Coincidence? I think not.

They come here for jobs. The economy is going to start smoking again, thanks, in large part to our current POTUS. With that will come an uptick in illegal immigration. What's so difficult to understand about that?

Lets get the wall in place now. If the economy starts to heat up, we may need more workers. Then we can at least control who is coming in.

This will be beneficial to the immigrants, as well. They will be paid market rates.

How many other countries let you just walk across the border and set up shop illegally?

Well I've brought that up as a compromise to not building the wall but the left refuses to even address it. So here we are with an imperfect solution.

Yep I am for a "comprehensive" illegal immigration program, everything from the wall to hammering businesses that hire illegals, landlords that rent to them. The whole chalupa.

So your only viable solutions are:

1/ Make Mexico a superpower with a world-leading education system, massive economy, powerful military, tech hub of the world

Or...

2/ Make the US worse than Mexico

Yeah, I don't think I'm into either of those. Let's build a wall.
