It exists. The numbers are still large.

The demographics of the invaders are changing though. Fewer from Mexico and more from other Central American shitholes.

Actually, to be solved it needs to be in the negative numbers.

I'm not the one that stupidly claimed that this was due to the current administration when there is a history of it happening for over 15 years. That would be you.

Trump has a plan.

1. Build Wall in 1st term.
2. Send illegals back in 2nd term.
3. Illegals can't easily return during Pence's first term due to already built Wall.

It's amusing that you think there isn't a problem still. I have several friends who I see every week that are BP agents and they will tell you the illegal crossings are always happening.

310,000 illegal crossings a year, even if true, is too many.

I disagree completely.

You may think that is the question you need to be asking YOURSELF. But, I am onboard with the others.

Now..."wall" may not be the answer. But, we damn sure need enforcement and security on the border. To use the statistics you noted in order to suggest "meh...fixed" seems like silliness to me.

OK fair enough

How will this plan make life better for Americans?

How will the cost benefit analysis be justified?

We had at least 310,000 illegal border crossings in 2017. Even with those bullshite estimates, the problem still exists.

Have a down vote.

The problem exists, no matter which mental tricks you try to use to convince yourself and others that it does not exist.

The proof is in the facts. Look at the historical progression of the matter. Don't interpret a lull in the wave as a cessation of the process. Do you suppose that when the tide is low that the waters will never rise again? No. That would be illogical because that would be to ignore the nature of the process.

Careful, my child. Do not victimize yourself with your own stupidity. Be strong and fight your stupid nature.

It's the trend that is important. The numbers are already trending downward without a wall and have been doing so for over a decade

You're trying to apply logic to a situation in which many people here are attached emotionally as right wing media has been fueling the false narrative that immigrants are the reason blue collar jobs are trending downward for years now. That keeps these people in fear of the "other" and as such they are easy to control.

Allowing even one illegal is is a problem. I'm all for lawful and legal immigration, but illegal immigration adds to the problem of class and deficit. More illegals = a larger poverty class percentage, which = an issue because our administration is trying to shrink the poverty class by creating more and better jobs, as opposed to growing the class by letting more people in illegally and then using government funding to feed, shelter and aid them (including legal protection from ICE and other agencies which were designed to deal with the exact scenario we're seeing, but are being obstructed from doing their job by liberal politicians such as those in California).

It takes ONE open borders president/Congress to completely reverse that trend. You think a short term trend solves a problem into perpetuity? Are you that stupid or do you just think we are that stupid?

Do you understand that deportations were counted differently in the last administration compared to the current administration?

So in this day and age you are on record as being OK with over 300,000 people coming into the country and no one having any control over who they are or what they are bringing.

You sir are what we refer to as fricking idiot in polite circles.
