He's a catfish farmer. H1B has no effect on his life.

Now, he might have some Vietnamese competition, but they've been hanging around the Delta for a long time.

In response to a guy arguing that the program is capped at 60K H1Bs per year?

Tell me how pointing out that 200K H1Bs were granted in 2002 Isn’t relevant to the argument that the program is capped at 60K per year.

Yes. The cap a generation ago isn't relevant to a cap today.

Why are you even making the H1B visa an issue? It's an important tool in talent acquisition.

You should read up about the H1B visa program.

The cap has always been 65K. The point I was making is the H1B visa program is like every other federal program - changed/ignored to suit the highest bidder and the “65K statutory cap” doesn’t mean what the poster was pretending it meant.

I didn’t make it an issue. Vivek did.

This sounds like “we need all those illegals because Americans won’t do those jobs!”

I’m all for importing needed labor of any sort provided there ls a legit shortage of qualified workers and the imports aren’t simply serving to suppress wages. The only posters in these threads tonight that have posted data have, if their data is accurate, made solid arguments that the H1B visa program has done like the open border has and suppressed American worker wages.

The catfish research team at the NWAC in Stoneville is almost all Indians actually

Some of yall are getting way too angry and defensive when Elon, Vivek, etc are criticized. It’s obvious they’re changing tune on certain subjects. However Trump hasn’t changed his yet, I just hope he continues to listens to the voters and not his new friends

Trump better show them the door, or he will lose our support fast.

If true (not sure it is)...then not a good look for Donald Trump and whomever is inner circle is. They were supposed to have learned their lesson from the first go-round, no?

Maga has no firm positions on anything just like trump doesn't have fixed positions. Somehow just agreeing with whatever trump and his lackies put out became a political movement.....
