It’s so strange tax payers want the government to keep it and put it on the debt…why?
They’ve not cut a penny of spending.
They still waste billions.
The debt is a reflection of the government’s incompetence.
No. I don’t want these assholes paying anything off that they created until they show some competence with my money.
Using recovered taxpayer money to pay a drunken sailor’s bar tab makes no sense to me.

Nothing is being saved as long as we receive revenue of 4.9T every year, and spend 6.8T every year.
When they correct THAT, and we have a surplus, then use the surplus toward the existing 36T debt so that we STOP paying 1 TRILLION in interest every year.
Then hand out surplus checks for bass boats, bling, and votes.

Well giving back a fraction of the money saved from reducing spending will directly impact people. And as a hypothetical lets say we cut half a trillion dollars and every gets a big check amounting to 1/4th of that. As a single father, nearly 40% of my income goes to some form of a tax.
I want money sent to actual tax payers like myself that have been robbed for decades, not the people who pay nothing and get a "credit".
This will just piss me off even more.

Correct. This will never actually happen but if it does unless you are a net tax-payer (so no EITC and child tax credit people getting more back than they paid) you should get nothing from this.

If the budget is not balanced then inflation will continue. They can write a check to people for $5K but it will be offset with the inflation it causes.
