That is what reporters should have been doing. That is not what they did.Start with the JFK assignation and come froward until today and tell me how many "reporters" followed that course.
If any did they were have been well hidden.I can think of 100s of events where they just lied.

With modern digital tech, the barrier to entry to be part of the "press" is near zero.

Such projection. If you actually cared about the truth, you wouldn’t have blocked the story where the virus came from. Some people figured that out by January 2020, and at the latest it should have been conclusively figured out March.
