Podnuh, We need more like you and your family! This is how we came to be the greatest country on earth! Your family came here to be a part of America, to make it even better, not to take from it and give nothing back, not to create a separatist zone or to foment revolution.

I went to Tegucigalpa back in 2016 to do some missionary work with our Church. Beautiful place, but there were armed security guards at the gas stations, on the buses and a lot of businesses due to crime. We spent a lot of time up in the hill country with a lot of the really impoverished people. We loved the people we met there.
I remember the flight in to the airport and everyone cheering when we landed safely. Tegucigalpa has one of the most dangerous airports due to the mountain approach and short runway that ends at a cliff.
Anyway, congrats on the citizenship.

Also if that story was true, his dad was 63 when he married a 29 year old.

I know one Honduran, I was his apprentice in a skilled trade many years ago, brought here when he was 3. Served in the Navy during the Gulf War, learned his trade. Got his citizenship. Made a career of his Navy-learned trade. Conservative as frick. Despises liberal punk bitches and lazy shitbags. He's more American than at least half of the native born Americans in the country. I haven't talked to him in a while, but he was a "birther" so I'm pretty sure he's MAGA.
Honduras should be the 51st state.

Respect for legal immigrants. Nothing was handed to them, they came to a new country, worked from the ground up and started their own heritage here.
Can't imagine how scared and excited your mom was, when she first came over.
