It is very efficient. It costs between $800,000 - $1,400,000 to train, arm, and care for a soldier for a year overseas. They would have to kill at least 5 people each to get your money's worth compared to this Moab.

I did some back-of-the-napkin math on Iraq:

Roughly 25,000 enemy combatants killed
Roughly $2 trillion spent, but we'll say only a tenth of that went to actual combat activities (being generous)

That's still about an $8 million/enemy combatant killed efficiency measure. $160,000 per is bargain-basement. Granted, that's not including the SF (probably in the $3 - 5 million range for just one guy) it took to track these guys down and call it in.

While the two bomb types are related, they serve different functions — the MOP is designed to destroy underground bunkers as deep as 200 feet below the surface, while the MOAP wipes out everything on the surface within a mile radius.

This is what I don't understand. That's ok, but sarin is bad.

I hope you are not comparing us using this bomb on ISIS to Assad gassing civilians.

I really don't know how you could verify an actual kill count...how many were vaporized?...how many were granulated?...how many were buried in catacombs of their own making?...who in the hell is really going to get a sifter on that mess and spend resources to 'get to the bottom of it'?

Not to mention the fact that there are tons of collateral effects, beginning with the 'oh shite' pucker coming from the large percentage of idiots that the day before were thinking about signing up with their local ISIS recruiter and ending with the decay of ISIS capabilities resulting from the utter destruction and the far-beyond-a-pinprick show of force.

Stupid arguments regarding body counts...

It's not even a penetrating bomb. Why drop it on their underground tunnels? So we dropped this just to kill 36 ISIS?. That's it? It obviously makes the orange man feel very powerful to drop bombs. The fact that he use the term "my military" is very telling. It's not your military. It's the United States of Americas's Military.

Did Trump select the munitions used?
