Blackwater(XE,Academi) has people on the ground and people in the mountains.
They are made up of mainly special forces from all branches of the military. They would probably be on the ground and sending the info back to US military.
These guys leave the base and don't come back sometimes for a month or more.
We do have 10,000 troops and Blackwater in that region.

What's weak is attacking the president because of the number of terrorists killed in one strike. 17 million dollar bomb to kill 36 people makes about as much sense as sending 60 bombs to destroy an airfield and purposely not hitting the runways.
