where do all of those old Obama votes go?

The answer is in enthusiasm.

The real issue is Biden needs a big enough lead to duck the debates. There is a very real chance he'll look totally lost if he has to take the stage with Trump.

It suggests voters in the rust belt hated Hillary and sat out.

Why wouldn’t they also hate Biden?

I think Michigan will be closer than polls say, the average is skewed because of a CNN poll showed Biden +12

Bigger question is how enthusiastic are these voters about voting for Joe Biden. African Americans are waking up to Democrat tricks.

I was in Titusville, FL in the middle of July, and counted 12 Trump, 0 biden signs. Not scientific, but my count is accurate.

There is no "chance" about it. Trump will wipe the floor with that dipshit.

This yard sign oberservation I identical to the one I have had in Wisconsin traveling north the last 2 weeks.

The rural urban divide is striking.

Michigan is gone my friend. Trump campaign suspended all Ads there this week. You don't do that 3 months out unless it's really really a lost cause.

If I'm not mistaken, don't you claim to be a Trump supporter? Yet I have never read any comment from you that was positive about him. Weird.

Why buy ads when you can get the press to cover your press conferences and you will be sending a second round of Trump checks?

That entire article is conjecture with nobody having the balls to put their name to what they are saying.

Are you the same person who wants Tom Cotton to lose because he is a "war hawk" or was that some other troll?

Well if you read the report you'd know McClatchy gets first hand look at actual spend in advertising. They see every super pac and pac as well as campaign and run the data on it.

Yes that was me. He is a war hawk - and I prefer a libertarian to take his place. I prefer for the GOP to be completely purged of any war hawks. Let the Dems have them. America First populism should be the GOP party.

Again, that "first hand look" occurred in a vacuum with McClatchy assuming the pulls were both peculiar to Michigan and were done out of capitulation.

The observation was okay. Its interpretations were 180° off base.

I posted this in another thread, but applies here.

Arrived in northern Michigan yesterday. Took a 5 mile ride around the neighborhood, and saw probably 20 different Trump flags and yard signs. Zero for Biden.

I also chalk this up to the urban/rural divide here. But we will see.

I never said yard signs vote nor implied that. Rural WHITE democrats control the board in Michigan, as of right now... they are very pissed. Long time till November but unless something changes my bet would be on Trump gaining lots of votes, but its only August.

Popularity ratings don't vote either. (see how easy that is) Remember the time Trump wasn't popular and had a near zero chance of being President?

We go boating every weekend down here in the St Pete area and there are also 1000's of Trump boat flags. Plus almost all the homes on my canal have Trump flags. Did see a small plan flying up and down the beach one day with a Biden banner.

There are a lot of these around my neighborhood, so I am concerned. But, I think nobody wants to put up a Trump sign at the risk of getting a rock through your window.

I saw one of those in my neighborhood. But the couple that lives there are cool as can be when they see my walking in my Trump 2020 shirt daily. They always speak and are very nice. Makes me wonder who they are voting for although the sign seems to indicate Biden. But also shows not all the other side are like the twitter ones.
