Stretch of state highway from Standish to Tawas was 20 Trump signs, 2 Biden signs (compared to 17 Trump/3 Clinton signs at about this point in summer '16). This is in a relatively affluent lakeside community area.

Stretch of state highway near Coldwater was 43 Trump signs, 0 Biden signs. This is in a very rural/blue collar area.

I got almost universal positive feedback to the two Trump flags I had attached to my truck. Lots of thumbs up and "love the flags" comments at Culvers, gas stations, etc. Only potential negative feedback was someone who may have cut me off on an off-ramp, ironically her car had a "Love" bumper sticker, but she may have actually been consumed by hate.

The backlash against Governor Whitmer is real, hoping it stays strong through November and puts Trump and John James over the top. Was a bit disappointed that only about 20% of yards with a Trump sign had a James sign as well, he's got to get his campaign doing better in that regard!

How big is the vote in those three cities these days? Most growth in the state has been in places like Grand Rapids the last I heard rather than the “traditional” huge Dem strongholds.

Michigan is gone my friend.

Trump campaign suspended all Ads there this week.

You don't do that 3 months out unless it's really really a lost cause.

I know the Panhandle is very Republican but where are the blue areas in the state?

I’m aware of Miami-Dade and some surrounding counties as habitual problems. Where else? Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee?

Dude, I've been called a concern troll on here many times regarding Trump's handling of the Kurds and gun control, but you put me to shame. Trump still has boatloads of ads slotted in MI after Labor Day, which is when your average Joe starts to pay attention.

That happens when they believe the state is locked up. A good portion of my family lives in Michigan, I was born there... life long rural democrats are not happy with the democrats.

??

I've never put you to shame ever or called you out.

I'm stating an article that came out this week from McClatchy and Bloomberg that states the trump campaign has suspended all ads in michigan. And they interviewed a senior trump official in the state and he confirmed.

Unless, of course, your internal numbers indicate that you will win decidedly.

In short, there are two options.

Ordinarily, I would say you are correct in your assessment. With this Nazi governor, who knows.

Yes, it appears they have slowed down campaigning in the State, that might be a true fact. The rest of your post is not a fact.

Nothing suggests that considering he won the state by only 10k votes in 2016.

It was going to be tough and competitive regardless. If his campaign feels like he has a chance in Wisconsin and PA then let it fly there.

The unfortunance is that trump had so much free air time and marketing in 2016 because of rallies his campaign didn't have to spend a dime in a lot of states.

The golden rule is you spend in states within margin of error that you know you think you can win. Pulling out ad spend a traditional blue stare does not suggest he's well ahead and he's reallocating funds elsewhere because of that. It means the opposite.

We'll see. I have a strong suspicion ads will start up again early September.

Maybe you don't know what you are talking about is that an option? If you don't believe the hate is real for democratic party right now in Michigan, you don't know what you are talking about.

All and I mean ALL of my family up in Michigan are life long dems, they're parents before them were dems... I seriously doubt anyone of them is voting for dems in the general national election. We're talking about people that never voting another way before.

That governor really did a number for trump.

Link?

Didn't you also say Trump isn't doing any more Ad buys but he just tweeted about a new commercial?

Everything I've stated is objective and a fact. None of it is made up.

His campaign has suspended funding in the state.
He barely won the state in 2016
He can't do campaign rallies anymore to get his messaging out.

His path to victory is t including Michigan. That's the signal his campaign is sending.

None of that is my opinion.
