Why can't Democrat first families go away after office like Republican ones?

How many times did we see Reagan, or HW, or W take the mic after leaving office? I don't think I ever saw Barbara or Laura touting their husband's Presidencies after the fact. Out of the three, Nancy would have been the one to do so, and she didn't either.

The Obamas and Clintons just can't help themselves.

ETA: Carter is even still chirping from time-to-time.
