re: Let’s talk about the defense

Where the hell has this been all year? I know our young pups are getting better but it seemed like we were turning them loose in a way we haven’t yet this year. Was TX just more vulnerable or did we make changes? Where we just fired up for a big game?

That DL was shoving guys into Arch’s grill all night.

It's what Kirby always says. The young players have to grow. Elijah Griffin has grown. The way he penetrated Texas's Oline kind of reminds me of a former two-time UGA Championship DT.

Elijah Griffin vs Texas
Kirby emptying the bench on defense?

I'm not worried about Arch. Even if he have a good game the Dawgs have proven they can out score you. Anthony Hill Jr. and Colin Simmons are the two best players on their team. Our TE's gonna have to play on another level to keep those two from disrupting plays.

Did Gaston start at RG Saturday?

Starting the game was
LT - Freeling
LG - Morris
C- Bobo
RG - Glover
RT - Greene

The first TD score
LT - Freeling
LG - Glover
C - Bobo
RG - Gaston
RT - Green

Other rotations throughout the game
LT - Freeling
LG - Morris
C - Bobo
RG - Gaston
RT - Greene

While reviewing another game, The Film Guy said it would be difficult for an Oline to have the stamina to deliver body blow after body blow throughout the game. Now healthy, our Oline stays fresh with all the rotating. Next year Glover may move to LG. He's getting a lot of reps on that side of the ball.

It hurts but the Dline got a ton of talent. And with 8 games comes experience and development.
CJ Wiley came into the game against Ole Miss. Listed at 6'4 210, his size is silimiar to Colbie Young. He runs a sub 11s 40. We're seven games into the season with a bye week. Gunner have options.
Why do y'all do that? It's only the second quarter.

I was replying to a post about the off-season.

Chase Linton and Isaiah Gibson should come in next year and provide a boost.

re: Starting Oline?

Freeling came in the game in the second quarter replacing Bo Hughley. Hughley moved over to RT replacing Juan Gaston. On the last scoring drive, Freeling was hopping badly on that bad ankle. We're still not settled and healthy on the Oline.
During the timeout, Kirby told Allen and Wilson, Arnold was going to extend the ball out to cross the line. Punch that fricker out :pimp:

O-Line has been solid all year imo. Today was good to see the young guys get better after a few injuries.

The right side only started the last 2 games. There has been rotation across the line all season with the exception of Bobo at center. The starters moving on should be...

LT. Monroe Freeling
LG Micah Morris
C Drew Bobo
RG Dontrell Glover
RT Juan Gaston

When Ernest Green gets healthy he should provide depth. It's the young guy getting better moving forward.

That’s what I’m saying. Bowens and McCray are big physical backs that get yards and crash through the line.
Play them. Kirby has to stop with this upper classman loyalty bs.

It ain't just upper classman loyalty. He plays too many running backs. Eight different players had a rushing stat. I couldn't find any other team in the country with that many.
