It’s so obvious all of the committees approving the Ai centers are paid off. The listen to the community 100% oppose it, the. Vote yes to approve. Repeat over and over in every city.

Typically 500 MW data center will have about 200 - 250 permanent employees.
Grossly over stated. Probably more like 75-200 new Indians (dot) that have to acclimate into these Podunk towns that you are describing. I think you are understating water usage and how much is contaminated as well as power consumption and the locals get an increased power bills. That still might all work out if the community wants it. But, my trust of politicians making decisions on what's best for the people vs for them personally is pretty low lately.

There will be no improvements except local government officials and employees getting substantial pay raises.

So what exactly was her stance? Was she arguing for or against a data center?

People are turning away life changing revenue that could vastly improve rotting communities that have no other sources of revenue. And they use less water than a golf course uses. The myth about how much water they use is a Facebook propaganda myth. Put um in remote areas away from neighborhoods and let the revenue flow to your community. Think 24/7 365 fire academy trained fire departments in rural areas that now have volunteer fire departments. That could lower your home owners insurance by 45-50%. Think asphalt smooth roads in areas now that can only afford rock and tar roads. Think nice parks and ball fields. Think senior services like senior daycare and transportation. Think about your community having the revenue to give a college scholarship to every graduating student that wants to go to college.

LOL they could build 10 data centers in Humphreys county and it would still be a shithole but the local politicians would be filthy rich. They’d steal all of it

The majority of the folks in that room don’t even know what the frick a data center is.

Isn't it hilarious and sad that you have a room full of 90 IQ retards trying to legally regulate technologies that to them might as well be magic.
