Not really violent. Sort of reminded me of a body cam video without “literally”, “supervisor”, and “dindu nuttin”.

Do you work for the data industry? This is some sweet propaganda.
The xAI center in Memphis is going to provide at least 20MW of extra electrical power and boost water treatment capacity for MLGW, but don't let those facts get in the way of you pulling your little pud for the CCP...

Power and Utility Arrangement
•Power Demand: xAI's facility in Southwest Memphis is approved to draw up to 150 megawatts (MW) of electricity through MLGW and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), rather than supplying power to the grid.
• Infrastructure: MLGW upgraded local substation capacity to accommodate the facility, and xAI also installed natural gas turbines on-site for power generation.
• Demand Response: xAI agreed to a demand response program that allows it to reduce its electrical load when requested to protect the broader grid.
Water Usage and Treatment
• Aquifer Reliance: xAI's Colossus data center draws millions of gallons of water daily from the Memphis Sand Aquifer via MLGW infrastructure.
• Wastewater Recycling Facility: To reduce drinking water reliance, xAI planned an $80 million (with cost estimates later rising higher) wastewater recycling and treatment facility. However, construction has faced delays and been pushed back, drawing criticism from local leaders and advocacy groups like Protect Our Aquifer.
• Regulatory Scrutiny: Amid growing pressure over high water and energy consumption, the Memphis City Council has debated temporary moratoriums and restrictions on new data center permits

Thank you.
Very good summary of the truth about DCs, versus quips based on purely negative propaganda brought to us and paid for by none other than Xi Jinping himself, to be bleated out 24x365 via our vaunted MSM and social media.

less kudzu in Memphis
Of course, you could say that about anywhere vs. Yazoo City, including wherever kudzu originally came from.
The closure of the cheese straw place in Yazoo City happened on a very sad day indeed.

Ever notice how anytime someone is against something that Fedgov wants it is somehow due to ‘China’?
Funny how that works.
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Were you one of those idiot protesters with their half-baked "facts"?
Part of that 1.2GW in Southaven and the eventually even more in Memphis is what will be available to the local grid when needed, next time try pulling current info and not something dated back to May 2025 when the facility was still in it's beginning phases....
So much hate from the critics and yet completely ignorant of all the infrastructure going in: solar, turbines, battery storage...this is years away from completion but the only thing the local yokels are going on about is air quality but didn't complain about a tire dump catching fire, or a warehouse, or a large industrial facility that all have clouded Memphis in smoke from who knows what was burning in recent years. West Memphis is getting a data center and the local tards are clutching pearls instead of thinking about the economy, same people who beg for fast food chains so what can be expected.
quote:
We have entered into an agreed order with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality establishing a fixed removal timeline for all 69 of the temporary, mobile turbines that currently power our facility in Southaven, Mississippi. We are rapidly removing these mobile turbines as we bring online permanent power from a 1.2 GW power plant we are constructing under our Clean Air Act permit. We will begin removing temporary turbines from the site as early as August 2026. All temporary turbines will be removed by July 2027. Today's agreed order codifies our commitment to achieve this timeline.
