Sorry, but that isn't the case. I am not an American because of birthright citizenship only. Birthright citizenship doesn't make me an American. I am an American because I was born to two parents who were native born Americans who both came from native born Americans etc. and on down the line.

The citizenship of your parents only matters if you were born outside of the country.

Being born in this country and having 2 American parents doesn't make you "more American" than someone born here to non-citizens or someone who became a citizen through naturalization.

Even more impressive, is that she did it as a conservative in a historically dark blue area.

This is a great story. We’re all going to be Hispanic in 4 generations, let’s get there together.

Birthright Citizenship doesn't apply to me. I don't need that qualifier. Do you understand this? Would you try and say the same thing to someone born in Belarus or Poland? Saudi Arabia?

Legal immigration is what made this country great by bringing mostly law abiding, Christian valued people to this country in search of freedom and opportunity. Illegal immigration on the other hand is total, completely a suicide mission being brought on by the communist regime in DC and their Global Cabal puppet masters. If you come here, then at least try to assimilate and learn the language and become a tax paying member of society like this fine young lady has apparently done. She has my vote and all others with her mindset! And the fact that she is beautiful while she does it is a PLUS 1!!!!!

Qualifier? It isn't a qualifier...it's literally the reason you are an American citizen.

Absolutely, if they met the requirements for citizenship through naturalization or acquisition.

No it’s not Mickey otherwise we wouldn’t need birthright citizenship would we? Let’s eliminate it and see what your response would be in this same scenario.

I think you misunderstood. Lets say I emigrated to Poland, Belarus, or Saudi Arabia. Legally. And became a citizen. Would you as an observer look those people in the eye and tell them that me an American who emigrated there legally is just as much of a Pole, Belarusian, or Saudi as they are? Of course you wouldn’t. And they wouldn’t agree with you anyway. See the problem here.

Also, let’s say in 5 months when this district is up for re-election a Liberal Democratic candidate who was born in Botswana but legally immigrated to America and Texas beats Ms Flores. I then come on here and say we should ‘celebrate’ this because nobody born in Botswana has ever been elected to Congress. What is the reaction going to be on here? Am I going to have a group of cheerleaders cheering that on? Or would my post be downvoted into oblivion and I would be called every name in the book? We both know the answer. Let’s stop the partisan politics insanity. Let’s call any type of celebration what it really is. fricking stupid.

There is ZERO reason to 'celebrate' a person from Mexico, Haiti, Ireland, China, or Zimbabwe going to congress over anyone else. Furthermore, Illegal Immigrants from shithole Third World countries who are Low IQ, uneducated, and unskilled along with their anchor baby offspring are destroying this country and will further continue to destroy it. That isn't a sustainable model.

Immigration has always been the model.

Are you going to do it sarcastically like the OP did?

Plenty of people have been serious about this. We’ve even had a few quit the thread in a tantrum.

I’ll ask again, Liberal Democrat born in Botswana wins this district in 5 months. I come on here and sincerely say we should ‘celebrate’ this simply because it hasn’t happened before. What’s the overall reaction going to be? Tell me.

You are quoting a guy who threw a temper tantrum and ran off. Oh, he also wants to deport Americans he doesn’t agree with in favor of Immigrants or Illegal Immigrants he does agree with. That sounds like a stable human being.

Y’all do realize that she came here legally when she was 6 years old, right?

Most of her formative life has been in the USA.

I do wonder if anyone would even notice if she looked like Sonia Sotomayor. But….she does not.

I’ve been saying that for damn near 7 pages. Apparently there are many people on here who disagree. Well, as long as the person has an (R) by their name anyway. Welp.

Posting hysterically about hypothetical situations does not leave the impression that 'who gives a shite' is your position.

So in other words you are just spinning your wheels for seven pages trying to point out hypothetical hypocrisy for....reasons?

You seem like a miserable idiot.
