Why would anyone celebrate a person from Mexico or any other country being elected to Congress? We don't need more of these people we need less. Illegal Immigrants and Anchor babies are going to be the downfall of this country.
If you're referring to Ms. Flores, you may want to do some research before opening the mouth.

Done plenty of research. Why should we 'celebrate' Ms. Flores over anyone else? Because she has an (R) by her name?
This is the Rights version of Virtue Signaling. It's the equivalent of people 'celebrating' Karin Jean-Pierre being the first black, gay, homosexual, LGBTQ+, woman, transgender etc. Press Secretary. It's fricking lunacy. Who gives a shite?

Would you be 'celebrating' this if she had a (D) after her name?

Gives you a true idea of what side the Mexicans in this country are really on.

The better question is why isn't the party that prides itself on being synonymous with the furtherance of minorities celebrating it?

This should be celebrated but it isn’t and that’s fricked up. Politics shouldn’t get in the way of historical accomplishments.

Came here legally from Ireland and England and worked.

Because it is stupid? Just like it is stupid to 'celebrate' someone who is a gay homosexual trans black amputee lesbian in any political role? You are trying to do the very thing people mock the left over.

Why should this be 'celebrated'? It's not an accomplishment.

She must be one of them White Hispanics so she gets no love from the media.

Future of Republican Party depends on Mexican and Latinos. Your racist arse better learn to love them or learn to love your Chinese overlords.

I'm not a republican
Not 'celebrating' this doesn't make me a 'racist'
Lord help republicans if they are having to rely on Immigrants, Illegal Immigrants, or Anchor Babies for survival. That's a pretty bleak future to have.
China already owns us because of the actions of republicans and democrats. You realize this don't you? Congress and Politicians of both major parties sold their soul to China decades ago.

Does it have to be either 'celebrated' or 'denigrated'? Does it have to be either/or? What if you think this is just dumb? Just like it is dumb to 'celebrate' every single person of LQBTQ+!xyz etc.? I will ask again would you be 'celebrating' this if she had a (D) after her name? Tell me.

You aren’t an American if you have a problem with legal immigration. End of story.
I’d trade you and any dumbass white trash like you for legal Mexican immigrants all day long.

Never said that. There is ZERO reason to 'celebrate' a person from Mexico, Haiti, Ireland, China, or Zimbabwe going to congress over anyone else. Furthermore, Illegal Immigrants from shithole Third World countries who are Low IQ, uneducated, and unskilled along with their anchor baby offspring are destroying this country and will further continue to destroy it. That isn't a sustainable model.
Damn you are super retarded.

I am not celebrating anything. I am stating facts. She legally came from Mexico, became a naturalized citizen and has meaningfully contributed to society. She is the kind of person I want leading our country.

She's not an illegal immigrant, so half of your comment here is completely irrelevant.
As for the rest, US citizens are allowed to run for every office other than President, no matter where they were born. It's always been that way. There's nothing wrong with that.

This is huge news, right?
Breaking down barriers. More inclusion. More opportunities for women from different backgrounds and upbringings?
Where is the celebration? Where are the accolades? Where are the blue checkmarks screaming this from the rooftops???
Oh yeah....she's on the wrong team.
If she was a liberal there would be non stop coverage

Right? We're the party of LEGAL immigration. We should be celebrating LEGAL immigrants who contribute to our society in a positive way.
