I like Republicans who don't fight back and go along with the ongoing destruction of the Constitution and our country.

Dude has no real professional career outside of politics and being a politician. He’s on the Kevin McCarthy path. I simply don’t have any respect for people like that, regardless their politics.
Vote for him over a leftist Democrat in a runoff? Absolutely.
Look at him as some leader for our country? I’ll pass. Just a leech off of taxpayers and using red meat politics to keep his public sector gravy train going. Bet you he’s going to be another one of those who somehow becomes worth tens of millions of dollars within a decade despite having a job that supposedly only pays $180k/year.
He’s the complete opposite of someone like Trump, Vance and Burgum in that regard.

Why do you select these under qualified life long shite bags to these positions? I know it’s hard to get people to live in the DC area
You answered the question. The government needs to be decentralized from DC. Put that office in Huntsville or Omaha and you wont have another prominent east coast establishment family running it

He is incredibly obnoxious and is in a similar category as MTG for me. I could go into all the reasons he comes off as a smarmy little shite, but it’s not worth either of our time.
But he votes so much better than the Niki Haley type Republicans that are full of decorum.

You should refrain from voting. You are unqualified

Because he doesn’t like someone? He also said he’d still vote for him vs a Democrat.

Here’s another reason I don’t like him: because people like this, do.

How did he grill her exactly? He's a complete dip shite. I don't see what people like about the guy. He is all about trying to one up the next guy. She clearly stated for him over and over that he could have interviewed him, but couldn't do a podcast interview with him. He didn't like the answer, so he kept acting like she didn't answer his question. Gaetz is nothing more than an attention seeking whore. I think Trump sees that in him and don't think he would offer Gaetz anything on his Presidential staff.

I think it’s possible to fight back without looking like a shithead, and that would be more effective.

That would be beyond depressing were it to be true.

He was a millionaire before getting elected to congress. He comes from a very wealthy family. His dad owned a healthcare and real estate company.
I think the real reason Matt Gaetz gets under people's craw is due to the fact that he does not have to rely on lobbyists to buy access to House committee seats. If you are a rookie congressman with little to no name recognition the only path to getting a committee seat is to accept lobbyists money, transfer funds to the Speakers campaign coffers and then get assigned a committee seat by the Speaker. When you get a committee seat via lobbyists you have to vote the way they want you to. They become your puppet master. You need about $150K delivered to the Speaker's campaign account to gain access to a committee seat. Gaetz bypasses lobbyists and retains most if not all donations from small donors in his district and across the nation due to his high profile. Gaetz is beholden to the people in his district in its purest form. Not the lobbyists.
Sure sometimes the lobbyists and the people of his district wants converge. I know they do. MIC lobbyists want more military spending and so do the people of his district so Gaetz votes accordingly. But I also know the people of his district do not want war because the people of his district do not want to see their son's die in war. MIC lobbyists want more foreign intervention. Gaetz district does not. This is where the lobbyists and the people in his district disagree.

More kabuki theatre. That committee could do something about these situations if they wanted to actually fix something.
Instead, they want to locate and act concerned and then do nothing about it.

Personal?
He's a conservative snake oil salesman. It's obvious to anyone that if he could be elected as a Democrat, he'd be pro-abortion, pro-Hamas, whatever it took to pay for his botox.

Perhaps he is transitioning to female?
