Massie obviously has some serious mental issues.
I've gone from being a fan, to being confused about what his intentions were, to absolutely despising him, to finding him completely repulsive.
But now I'm starting to feel sorry for him. He's got mental issues, there's no doubt about it now.

Historically, this was a polarizing event with polarizing figures. I have read several books summarizing official narratives and firsthand accounts. Conclusions vary from polar opposites to overlap. There is a time and a place for spirited and even heated debates over the subject.
However, this is not that. I have respected a great many of Massie’s positions on a variety of topics but this is beyond the pale of unnecessary and serves no purpose except to further inflame the political climate.
