Israeli forces attacked our ship repeatedly that day and had early morning visuals of our flag flying above the USS Liberty BEFORE they came BACK with strikes. I’ve read multiple accounts from survivors, all of whom don’t buy the mistaken identity theory. No survivors believe this. We’re going to discredit what they say over what governments say? In addition, why was American help recalled? Why did we wait so long to send help? We didn’t want to strain our relationship with Israel. That was our priority. It’s the same reason we went along all these years with the governments’ mistaken identity claim. I don’t buy it. I believe our men on that ship in 1967. Ever read they had to sign non-disclosure agreements? Again, I trust our betrayed men not our government or Israel’s.
