This was not already a thing. Seriously there hasn't been an official day of remembrance in NYC on 9/11 declared previously?
Yet this guy does it. It's a mockery. He does it to show his support for NYC and win over people that don't like him, but then gives the pen to this lawyer.

-everyone agrees that it is disrespectful that NYC had never formally recognized 9/11 as a day of remembrance.
-after 25 years of failure, a New York mayor FINALLY does the right thing...and is criticized because he gave a pen to a lawyer
-the pen went to the Chief Counsel of NYC who probably drafted the Executive Order
-the outrage is because the Chief Counsel had previously represented someone
What did y'all make of President Trump helping install as President of Syria an ACTUAL terrorist who had fought Americans in Iraq? The same terrorist was welcomed into the White House.
John Adams successfully defended the British soldiers accused of murdering Americans in the Boston Massacre. Was Adams some American hater?
I'm a Christian Nationalist of the Doug Wilson/Pete Hegseth stripe. To rational people, this ignorant Muslim bashing makes Muslims sympathetic. It's counterproductive from a discipleship perspective. Politically, it will probably backfire. Michigan will be a good test.
