These inciteful words from this State Governor sound mighty Insurrectionist to me. It's almost as though she's declaring war against the Union.

Hmmmm. I wonder what President Lincoln would do?

Isn't it nice how she plays hardball with other people's lives?

I hope Trump crushes here.

I actually like the idea of states collecting the federal taxes and then remitting them to the federal government.

I would prefer that citizens have to pay their taxes to the government (not withheld).

People need to be pissed off every Friday. Many dont even look at the small print on the bottom of the check.

Maine, heavily reliant on the ocean and ports, and military protection. Of course half those people wish they lived in Canada and could dress up like a magical princess cow.

Is there any proof of this outside of your screenshot? Seeing several things online saying this is completely false. I wouldn't put it past her, but just curious what actual proof there is she said it.

Yea idk.

I got this off James Woods’ X feed.

Look it up, while I don't trust the 'fact check' sites, this one seems to be universally trashed. Can't find any evidence. Got a link?

Can all the states just do this?

If so, why are we not doing this already?

Each state would choose the method.

As a state citizen you have a much better chance influencing your state government than the federal government.

You local legislators aren't so far away that you can't have interaction.

Because our federal, state, and local governments are not on our side.

I do. That fight went on for several years and I remember it well because I was between 18-21 at the time. There was actually a point where it was illegal for me to buy alcohol but not illegal for a store to sell it to me. Or least the penalty was only on the purchaser. The fine was something like $10+ costs so $30.
