Bath Ironworks (known to the locals as B-I-Dubyah) designs and builds ships for the US Navy.
It’s a weird state. They don’t attract young families and the kids that are born there that aren’t born to meth heads leave for college and never come back, so they have an aging population sucking up benefits. The coast is full of summer homes for the wealthy, the interior is poor as shite, and the north (Down East) is full of inbred weirdos.
I hate the IRS, but I also hate the state encouraging the transing of children (this same governor declared the state a “sanctuary state” for mutilating children) and violating girls’ rights by allowing boys to play girls’ sports and use girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms. It galls me to say it, but I’m siding with the IRS this one time. Harming children is the larger threat atm.

LOL Maine has 3 people living there. They need funding from the feds because they don't have the population to fund things themselves.

Assume Maine has some multi state companies. If one of those companies located in another state doesn't withhold its employees' taxes, mite those employees file suit? As long as we're getting into stupid hypotheticals.
